Generally you can view a web page without enabling JavaScript but you may miss the JavaScript funtionality of certain webpages. Web developers do a lot of work using JavaScript to enhance webpage interactivity, so it is usually recommended to enable JavaScript before browsing.
Most browsers have JavaScript enabled by default. To check whether JavaScript is enabled in your browser, follow the simple steps below.
From the Menu bar:
go to Tools menu
then select Internet Options from the drop-down menu

In the Internet Options window:
select the Security tab
with the Internet icon selected, click on the Custom Level button

In the Security Settings - Internet Zone window:
scroll down to the Scripting section
make sure Enable is selected under Active scripting
click OK

In the Warning dialog box:
click Yes

In the Internet Options window:
click OK

Reload your webpage to use the new settings

Click the Information Bar
then click Allow Blocked Content from the down-down menu

In the Security Warning dialog box:
click Yes

Your current webpage will automatically reload using the new settings
From the Menu bar:
go to Tools menu
then select Preferences from the drop-down menu

In the Preferences window:
select the Advanced tab
on the left pane, select Content
on the right pane, make sure Enable JavaScript is checked
click OK

Reload your webpage to use the new settings
From the Menu bar:
go to Tools menu
then select Options from the drop-down menu

In the Options window:
select the Content icon
make sure Enable JavaScript is checked
click OK

From the Menu bar:
go to Preferences menu
select the Content icon
make sure Enable JavaScript is checked
click OK
Reload your webpage to use the new settings
From the Menu bar:
go to Preferences menu
select the Security icon
make sure Enable JavaScript is checked
